The use and operation of the building is governed by the moral and ethical values of the church. It is not possible to use the building for any activity or event that the elders or trustees of the Community Church consider inconsistent with the church's values or charitable aims. In order to assess this, we need to ask you to supply details of the nature of your organisation and the event you are planning (see attached Agreement For Hire).

Some key points to note:

ACCESS

Outside of office hours an approved key holder needs to be appointed to open and close the building. This person is not permitted to pass their keys to someone else, but must be present to open and close the premises in person.

Also, it may be necessary to keep the entrance doors locked during your meeting.

DISABLED ACCESS

There is wheelchair access to the ground floor and we have a Disabled Toilet on the ground floor.

RUBBISH

If your event creates more rubbish than the existing bins will contain please use black bin liners (in kitchen cleaning cupboard) and take your rubbish away with you.


EQUIPMENT

We can supply most meeting equipment our price list is detailed below.

  • Flipchart (incs Pens & Paper), OHP (& screen if needed) - £5
  • Data Projector (for use outside the Main Hall) - £20
  • Data Projector (for use as part of a booking in the Main Hall) - FREE
  • TV/DVD/Video - £5
  • Wireless internet connection (by arrangement with our IT Administrator on the day) - FREE
  • Main Hall Video & PA System - Availability and price on request (Radio Lapel Mic and Handheld Radio Mic, CD Player, DVD & Video AV projection)

CATERING

Tea/Coffee & Biscuits

We can provide Tea, Coffee and biscuits for your event, this is on a self service basis.

  • £10 for meetings \ groups in our upper rooms per serving
  • £25 for meetings \ groups in our Small or Main Hall per serving

Buffet Lunches

We can supply buffet lunches, consisting of freshly made sandwiches, crisps\snacks, selection of fruit, cake & juice.

  • Buffet Lunch £6.00 per head

CANCELLATION FEES

Cancellation of booking will incur fees as follows:

  • Booking conditions Jun 2007 - Commercial
  • Over 14 days before the event no fee
  • 14-5 days before the event £10
  • less than 5 days before the event 10% of the hire costs or £25 whichever is the least (in addition any extra costs incurred which cannot be cancelled will be transferred in full)
